Veterinarian

Moody McCall

Dr. Moody McCall
Veterinarian

Dr. Moody McCall is a Jacksonville native He grew up knowing he wanted to be a veterinarian and began working with Dr. RoyBrinkman at Arlington Animal Hospital when he was thirteen.  After graduating from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986, he and his wife, Eugenia, moved to the beach.  In 1989 he purchased San Pablo Animal Hospital.  In 1997, a new hospital buidling was built at 13185 Atlantic Blvd.

Photography, tennis, and dog training are his hobbies. He has served on the Board of Directors for Canine Companions for Independence and has trained eleven service dogs for them. He has a black lab, Oko, and a golden retriever, McCall,  named after him by Canine Companions in honor of his contributions.  In addition, he has served as president of UF CVM Alumni Council, the Veterinary Admissions Committee, and is a recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award.  He is class coordinator for the outstanding UF CVM class of 1986!

Heidi Chupp

Veterinarian

Dr. Heidi Chupp graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison in 1999. She and her husband, Brad, moved to Jacksonville later that year. She joined San Pablo Animal Hospital in 2001.

They have a multitude of critters: Jack, a greyhound; Duggan, a small mixed breed terrier; and 2 kitties, Lazlo and Stewie. Dr. Chupp enjoys boating, reading, skiing, and scuba diving. A Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan since childhood, Dr. Chupp has adopted the Jacksonville Jaguars, and is always looking forward to a "successful" season.

Chase McCall

Following in his father's footsteps, Dr. Chase McCall, graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in June 2018. Upon graduation he joined the practice and is now part owner. Chase is married to veterinarian, Dr. Mallory Nebel.  They have five furry children, Lilly, a Labrador retriever; Lucy and Archie, Golden Retrievers; Scout, a doodle; and Aryia, a husky. He loves tennis, the beach, hiking and working out.

Office Manager

Eugenia McCall grew up in Cairo, GA, and graduated from LaGrange College in 1981, married Moody McCall, and moved to Gainesville, FL.  She worked at UF College of Veterinary Medicine in student affairs, then taught math at Stanton College Prep and Florida State College after moving to Jacksonville.  She now works part time as Office Manager.  Eugenia has 2 cats, Charlie and Mac, enjoys helping train puppies for Canine Companions for Independence, playing tennis, reading, and getting to know the clients and pets at San Pablo Animal Hospital.

Janet moved to Jacksonville from Maine with her husband, Dan. Janet has spent many years working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

She enjoys beachcombing, kayaking, and discovering all the new creatures here in Florida. She has 2 grown sons, a granddaughter, a Boston terrier named Finn, and a cat.

Kayla is an amazing new addition to our technician staff.  She has been a surgical technician and veterinary assistant since 2016, and has a degree in Animal Science from Sante Fe College.

Samantha Sykes

Sam joined us in November 2022 and is dedicated to the health of your pets and assists the doctors in the exam room, prepares lab tests and fills prescriptions.  She is enjoying getting to know all of our clients and their furry friends.  

Harleigh Ruth

Harleigh joined our staff in 2023.  She has many years of vet tech experience and really enjoys working with animals.

Receptionists

Miriam Brooks

Receptionist

Miriam Brooks heads our reception staff. She joined San Pablo Animal Hospital in 2010 and earned a degree in Biomedical Science in 2017. Miriam has many years of experience as a veterinary receptionist in Orlando and Jacksonville. We are delighted to have her at our front desk. She has 4 longhaired Chihuahua’s, Kenji, Kitsu, Fergie, and Tootsie.

Margie Crosby

Margie joined San Pablo Animal Hospital in 2018. She came to us with over ten years experience as a veterinary receptionist. She has four cats and a beloved doggie named Ginger. Born in Kentucky with family in the horse business, Margie has a love for horses and riding, and she sings too!

Taylor's smiling face is one of the first ones you will see when you walk in the door.  She joined our staff in 2023 and has quickly become a favorite.  She is great with our clients AND the computer.

Groomer

Sophia joined San Pablo Animal Hospital in 2011. She obtained her grooming certificate shortly after graduating from high school and attended Animal Behavior College to obtain certification as a Veterinary Assistant. Sophia has a great way with animals and loves making them look gorgeous. She says, working with animals is the best job in the world.

Kiana Wiley is perfect at taking care of all your pets when they board with us, making sure they all get fed, walked, loved on, bathed, groomed, and medicated.  In addition, she is a lean, mean, cleaning machine so our kennel sparkles and shines.

Shannon Ruscitti

Shannon Ruscitti began working in our kennel in 2005. Before coming to San Pablo Animal Hospital, Shannon was a volunteer at the Humane Society.

Shannon’s hobbies are making beaded jewelry, reading, bike riding, and military history. Her favorite part of working at San Pablo Animal Hospital is hanging out in the back with your animals.

Kennedy has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 4 years old! She has begun her veterinary application by gaining animal care experience in our kennel where she takes care of the day to day, feeding, walking, medicating, and bathing of your pets.
